I recently stayed at the charming Family Hotel Ecorelax in Madzhare for a week-long vacation. The hotel, owned by a lovely couple, felt more like a cozy home away from home than a traditional hotel. The old Bulgarian stone house offered stunning views of the Rila mountain ridge and provided a peaceful atmosphere, especially at night. The location was convenient, with a bus service to Samokov available every two hours. The hospitality of the owners was outstanding, making us feel like part of their family. The delicious home-cooked meals and the best rakija I've ever tasted were definite highlights. I have traveled extensively, but this is the first hotel where I truly felt at home.

Totally recommend this hotel.
